About the Author
New York Times bestselling author Tanya Anne Crosby is a five-time nominee for a Romantic Times Career Achievement Award. Interesting

I don't think I ever read a story like this. It had family problems,prejudice,jealousy,strength of character,humour, romance and a great ending. Well written.

A delightful story I enjoyed.

A well written story with an interesting plot and believable characters made this historical fiction an entertaining book. As in all romances it is always the same, boy meets girl and then the sparks fly before they will admit that they belong together. Every one can see it accept them. This story is no exception. But what makes this story to stand out for me as a reader was the main characters personalities. Or rather their flaws, at times I became agitated with Elizabeth's ability to clamp up and almost wanted to shout at her to speak up during the times most needed. But then your heart soften because of her poor eye sight and the situations she faces where she simply could not see, getting over every hurdle with some luck and ingenuity.
Cutter a half-breed was ruthless in his protection and determined to get the little mouse in his bed but yet so very proud accepting help that he knocked at deaths door. From the start you could feel the tension between the two as lust simmered, drawing them together and love grows in the midst of all the drama they face.
Then there was Katie, a little girl that loves her uncle and aunt fiercely but her ability to interrupt at the most peculiar times made her character interesting causing a few tense moments but yet with a undeniable cuteness for a typical four year old.
The villain who hate anyone that was different than him. He causes much turmoil in the story building the plot during the times of great turmoil in the American history. His uncaring character keeps you wondering where he will pop up next. Using every thing available to him to make life difficult.
Every supporting character enhancing the story so that you can get lost in the pages.
A great read that I can recommend to all lovers of a good historical romance book mixed with American history and the conflict with the Indians during that time period.

Sagebrush Bride is an awesome representation of historical fiction. I generally read Christian Historical Fiction. This book doesn't fall within that category; however, Tanya Anne Crosby hits a home-run with this write, while keeping the reader highly engaged beginning to end. I would very much recommend the read.

Relaxing read

I found this book relaxing and just what I felt like. I thought the length was good. I love dogs but would have preferred if the 'human doggie thoughts' were left out. It spoiled the realism a little. I wasn't keen on reading God's name in vain myself but some people don't mind at all. The mix of a country location and dogs was a must read for me. The writer definitely has the gift of writing and I really enjoyed it. Thank you!

Out Of The Blue

Out of the Blue was a a book I could not put down till I finished it. Short story of 65 pages. It was a beautifully written book about dogs and their owners. If you own a dog you know how this feels and can relate to this story. Also being a K9 handler/owner it hits even closer to home. A great book to read, but have your tissue box ready....Can not wait for another book from this author.

Great, Fun Dog Story

"Out of the Blue" follows 24 hours in the life of Tess, owner of Beckett Lodge, Max, her neighbor and friend, and Blue, a mysterious stray, along with Tess's lodge guests and their dogs.

The three dogs, Blue, Toto, and Derby, take center stage beside their human counterparts: Tess, a window on the path to recovery after being alone for two years; Brandon, a K-9 Cop reeling from a recent slip-up on the job that may have cost a child's life; Joanne, a mother with a lot to learn about the important things in life; and Gavin, a little boy who's best friend is a 120-pound dog.

When Gavin goes missing from the lodge, this diverse group, human and canine, pulls together for a rescue mission that, for some, may be their last.

A great novella (around 20k words) for any dog lover, but - be warned - it will leave you wondering what happens next for the Beckett Lodge characters, especially Blue. This is the first in a series and there is definitely a cliffhanger ending!
