Be warned

I loved this story but it is yet another cliffhanger with who knows how many other books coming. Authors: just be honest with the reader and state that it is one of a series. NOTHING irks me more than not knowing that in advance. This is now one of I can't remember how many books I am waiting for the sequel to. Grrrrrr

I was not sure what to expect from this new author, but have to say I am totally impressed. I devoured this book. Her writing style flows very well, her characters are likable and have depth, her story line has hidden elements to it that slowly emerge and she left me breathless and wanting more.
Jett: Oh my. He is some kind of sexy, hot, wealthy, real estate mogul. He literally just drips charisma and sexiness off the page. He is a total swoon worthy male specimen. But he has some secrets that he is not ready to share.

Brooke: She is a determined woman who is swept up into a new job and an interesting proposal from Jett. She is smart, sweet, and has a good heart, but had tragedies in her past that keep her closed off and afraid of opening up.

I loved how they spark off of each other and throw attitude. They have a good witty rapport and oodles of sexual tension. I mean serious sexual tension that just smolders. And that translates into some steamy, passionate scenes. Jett is a bit controlling, but patient, protective, and inquisitive. He pushes Brooke to be more open and trust him. Is their "no feelings" arrangement going to be enough for either of them? Or are they worth the risk?
"I hope you don't mind spending so much time with me," Jett said. "I promise to be good, and I won't be too hard on you." His tone oozed amusement as he added, "Unless you want me to."

And secrets start to bubble to the surface. There are twists and turns that I will not divulge. And there are even more mysteries to be solved. What is Jett hiding? Will something from the past threaten their future?
The book kept me engaged from the beginning. I was really not ready for it to end! I wanted more...More Jett, More Brooke, and More Answers! It was romantic, suspenseful, intriguing and steamy! I am totally looking forward the next book Conquer Your Love expected June 1, 2013 and No Strings Attached (about her funny and crazy room mate Sylvie).

Sexy, Exciting, And Intriguing...

Cliffhangers are the ban of my existence and boy did Surrender Your Love have a cliffhanger. I need the sequel to this book like yesterday. I'm not typically a fan of romance novels that don't have a supernatural element to them, but Surrender Your Love by J.C. Reed has absolutely converted me. I enjoyed the not only the plot, but the characters.
Brooke totally reminds me of myself plus I have a sister named Jenna! But I digress. I love the way Reed wrote Brooke to be independent and successful. She isn't a push over in the slightest and she can hold her own. I also like that she's smart and despite the fact that she's completely attracted to Jett she's still snarky.
Jett is a god. His confidence and sex appeal practically ooze of the pages, which sort of makes me want to reach out and touch him. I don't want to give the plot away especially since there's a hug twist that happens within the last few chapters of the book, but oh my god it's good!
Plus hello hotness, no wait that's not the right word. More like scorching and drool inducing. This might actually be one of the sexiest books I've read. The chemistry between Jett and Brooke bounce off the page and watching them interact brings forth a dozen different emotions at once. I love this book and anyone who is a fan of steamy romance novels with an actual plot, Surrender Your Love is the perfect book to curl up with.
