Whoopie Pie Bakers, Volume Two

After reading the second in the series for Whoopie Pie Bakers, Kneeling to Heaven, I learned a bit about the differences in the Englisch ways versus the Old Order.

The justice system was slow. It has been five years since little Emma Miller had been kidnapped by three men in Lancaster county.

Her older schwester, Esther, was willing to risk being shunned by the community in order to find Emma. Esther pretends to be interested in Jacob Smith, who is no longer with the community, in order to get a ride to New York city in hopes of finding Emma. But when she uncovers a secret from Jacob's past, she doesn't know who to trust.

Esther puts her faith in Gutt and prays for an answer.

I look forward to reading many more books by Amish author, Sicily Yoder, for a better understanding in the Amish ways.

I thoroughly enjoyed these Whoopie Pie books. I hope there will be more in the future. Very affordable also. I would recommend them all.

Serial Book

I can't really review just this one - written in the style of old time serial books which were popular in early magazine days, I found the breaks in the action annoying and distracting.

If all nine books were compiled into one novel, I would enjoy it as much as other Yoder books.
